Park City sits high in the Wasatch Mountains in Summit County, accessible from Salt Lake City via Parley’s Canyon and I-80 in roughly 35 minutes. Founded in the 1860s as a silver mining town and once one of the wealthiest mining districts in America, the city’s transition from mining bust to ski industry boom is one of the most successful reinventions of any small town in the West.
