Saratoga Springs sits on the western shore of Utah Lake in northwestern Utah County, sharing borders with Eagle Mountain to the west and Lehi to the north. Named for the natural mineral hot springs that drew early visitors to the area in the late 1800s and early 1900s — the original Saratoga Resort was a popular destination for decades before closing in the 1970s — the city stayed quiet for most of the 20th century. That changed dramatically after incorporation in 1997 and the construction of Pioneer Crossing connecting the western Utah County communities to Lehi and Silicon Slopes. The city has since become one of the fastest-growing communities in America by percentage growth, with a population that’s exploded from a few thousand at incorporation to nearly 50,000 today.
