Springville sits in southern Utah County between Provo to the north and Spanish Fork to the south, with the Wasatch Range climbing east toward Hobble Creek Canyon. Settled in 1850 by Mormon pioneers along the natural springs that gave the city its name, Springville has been a notable Utah community for more than 170 years — particularly known for its long-running role as a center for fine art and culture in central Utah. The Springville Museum of Art, founded in 1937, was Utah’s first museum dedicated exclusively to art and remains one of the most respected fine art institutions between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
